Academics

Coahulla Creek High School offers college prep courses and honor courses in all core subject areas. (Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science) CCHS also offers a number of Advanced Placement courses that culminate with a AP exam to potentially earn college credit.  Coahulla Creek also offers a Dual Enrollment option for students that may be completed at Dalton State College, Georgia Northwestern Technical College or some select courses that are offered on Coahulla Creek’s campus.

Elective courses include a variety of foreign language, physical education, fine arts and Career, Technical and Agricultural Education Courses.  Pathways are offered in all elective areas with the exception of physical education.

What is a Pathway?  Students who earn a passing grade in three consecutive courses within the same elective discipline have successfully completed a pathway.

Graduation requirements are based on the Georgia Department of Education requirements, and Whitfield County Schools requirements.  Find the requirements for students currently enrolled high school below.

Graduation Requirements

Coahulla Creek High School students are required to successfully complete 23 credits specific of coursework in order to obtain a Coahulla Creek High School Diploma.

Hope Rigor Requirements

All academic classes listed above including 4th science credits count toward HOPE and Valedictorian/Salutatorian GPA, 3.0 GPA required for HOPE Scholarship.
